Does Ohio still use a 45-day supply for medical marijuana?
No. Since March 24, 2026, patients follow a daily transaction limit of 2.5 oz plant material and 15,000 mg THC in other products, instead of 45-day fill periods.1
How much medical marijuana can I buy at once in Ohio?
Patients can buy up to four days' worth in a single visit: 10 oz of plant material and 60,000 mg THC in other products. Caregivers can buy one day's worth per day.1
What is the 90-day supply limit?
90 times the daily limit: 14.06 pounds of plant material and 1,350 grams of THC in other products. Your 90-day period is based on your active recommendation's issue date.1
Can I buy a full 90-day supply in one trip?
No. Patients can buy up to four days at a time. You just can't possess more than a 90-day supply.1
Are medical limits different from adult-use limits?
The daily amount is the same, but only patients can buy four days at once and keep a 90-day supply. Adult-use possession is capped at 2.5 oz of plant material and 15 g of extract, and medical purchases skip the 10% adult-use excise tax.2
Can my doctor limit how much I buy?
Yes. Your CTR physician can add notes to your registry profile about the types or amounts you may buy, and dispensaries must follow them.1
